The Society maintains a collection of items (photos, manuscripts, books, artifacts, documents, news clippings, etc.) relating to greater Chester community's history.  We are also building a computerized database of this collection, to which items are added every month.   A number of items from the Chester Historical Society collection which have been posted with extensive descriptions on the New York Heritage website at:

Items in this collection date back to early 1700s and reflect the growth and change of the United States. Some of these items contain some terms that today’s readers may consider obsolete and inappropriate. As part of our goal to be open and transparent with the public.
